Our world continues to shake as Covid-19 continues to rip apart our lives in varying degrees. It’s becoming more common to see signs asking people to be patient and kind too!
There is no place in this world for hatred. Sadly, many of us have been on the receiving end of ill-placed behaviours of co-workers, employees, church leaders, or a family member. It’s painful!
We would do well to remember we all came from the same parents. While we all eat, breathe, love, and have emotions, sometimes we forget common decency and kindness. Many in this world today are on the receiving end of hateful actions and hurtful words. To this end, we collectively as a world can do better! We MUST do better!
No matter one’s background, everyone is a spiritual being. With that in mind, a friend reminded me that there is a God in heaven who is always there to listen and help in times of need and give us the wisdom to live by.
Here are a few words of wisdom from His book:
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 ESV
And when those around forget to be kind…remember:
“6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:6-8 NIV
